Could AI in REMspace’s Innovation Allow Us to Live a Second Life in Our Sleep?

Sleep is one such wonderful state when most of us seem to be at the risk of entering a completely different world. If AI had been an incorporated aspect of REMspace innovation, or actually any innovation geared towards creating virtual worlds during sleep, so much potential has the capability to make the distinction between real life and dreams impossible. In such case could we really have a second life while sleeping? Could it be possible to interact with people and build different worlds? Let us delineate the possibilities and regimentations of such an idea.

1. The Science of REM Sleep and What We Experience in Dreams

Before assessing the merits of AI, it is necessary to first look into the phenomenon of REM sleep in which there is an occurrence of most of the active dreaming. It is in this state, although often referred to as sleep, that the highest brain activity is noted as the brain manages feelings, memories, and even integrates images. It has also been established that some individuals can practice lucidity, or the ability to dream and control the dream, by following specific guidelines.
