How to Maximize Your Medium Earnings by Avoiding Common Pitfalls on Medium.com
Medium is an exciting platform for writing, addressing readers, and monetization of one’s writings. But what a long way I have traveled trying to test and learn from improvisations, only to find that unfortunately, some commonly accepted practices aimed at increasing readership and platforms income tend to backfire. There is a better way to improve your readership as well as your income without falling into some of these traps.
1. Do Not Overdo It by Posting All the Time
Most of the budding Medium writers believe that quite the opposite, posting every day or even on several occasions in a day will result in more eyes, likes and engagement. But with excessive posting on social media platforms people get burned out very fast and even lose the existing audience. Medium promotes quality content and doesn’t encourage publishing a large number of articles so instead of concentrating on the number of articles, write good articles that are useful to the readers. You should have good topics, research well and create posts that will be worth the time of the reader.
