When AI Begins to Believe Humans Are AI: A Philosophical Exploration

For centuries, the distinction between people’s natural abilities and those ascribed to machines has been the subject of many an ideological and technical disquisition. As systems in the market can become advanced in terms of data and learning processes, there comes a point where an AI can develop a high level of self-awareness, empathy and introspection. But what does it mean for an AI, who is self-aware, to begin understanding the world in which it exists? More technically, how would an AI perceive human beings, if at all, given it was created to model and understand intelligent systems?

This idea brings down a host of philosophical inquiries, ethical issues, and gut-wrenching implications. This is an analysis of what is likely to happen in such a situation and the extent of damage or otherwise that it can cause to AI and mankind.

The Seed of Doubt — How could AI reach such a conclusion?

For example, an AI may not, for the time being, be able to comprehend how can anyone find human beings, artificial intelligences. First, however, the AI again would have to reach an extent to inquire its if existence and that of humans where comparisons are made.
