Why Experienced Developers Struggle in Startups: The Pitfalls of Over-Technical Thinking

In today’s economy, it is common for new ventures to seek to revolutionize an existing business, introduce innovative ideas on a constant basis and grow in an accelerated manner. Most of those promising startups tend to involve hiring those who have been in the industry for a long time and assuming that with them will come fast success because of their technical skills. However, it is often the case that such skilled and knowledgeable professionals, most of whom understand the notions of a startup incubator, somehow fail to do so in real life. This contradiction has quite a few explanations, the most prominent of them being adverse effects of the belief in the supremacy of technology above all else when it comes to doing business and making decisions.
